University of Texas Summer Academies
[summer] UT Summer Academies UT Computer Science offers a variety of very distinct, one-week summer academies for rising high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors designed to intrigue students with the potential of computing and the excitement of problem solving through unique hands-on experiences in learning computer science. The Academy for Women and the Academy for All are FREE.
Institute for Computing in Research

University of Texas Applied Research Laboratories (ARL)
[summer] The Science & Engineering Apprenticeship Program is a competitive program for graduating high school seniors who plan to attend college in the fall semester following graduation and who have both applied and been admitted to The University of Texas at Austin. The program provides a “hands-on” introduction to research and development. This is an amazing summer program for graduating seniors, and it gives them the opportunity to earn a competitive salary ($15.13 an hour) for the 12 week program. This prestigious group of students also write reports that are published and widely distributed at the end of their summer term. Preference given to students attending UT Austin, and whose intended majors are electrical, mechanical and aerospace engineering, physics, mathematics, and computer science are invited to apply. U.S. citizenship is required.

Google Computer Science Summer Institute
[summer] CSSI is an online, four-week introduction to computer science (CS) for rising first-year college students with a passion for technology — especially students who identify with groups that have been historically marginalized in the field.
Silicon Labs High School Mentoring & Internship Programs
[summer] The Silicon Labs High School Mentoring Program is an 8 week mentoring experience at the Silicon Labs Austin campus. Mentors will provide hands-on experiences that cover many of the STEM careers at Silicon Labs.
[summer] The Silicon Labs High School Internship Program is an 8 week part-time summer job at the Silicon Labs Austin Campus.
Texas Department of Public Safety Internship
[summer] Texas Department of Public Safety has a high school and college internship program. Each summer they take on a few college interns and have paid as much as $22/hour to students wanting to gain some on-the-job exposure in a fast-paced Security Operations Center. Girls who Code Summer Immersion Program
[summer] The Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program is a free 7-week computer science course that embeds classrooms in major media and tech companies. Students learn the fundamentals of computer science – from robotics to how to build a webpage – while gaining exposure to the tech industry and mentorship from women working in technology. No prior coding experience is required.

ACM/CSTA Cutler-Bell Prize in High School Computing
The ACM/CSTA Cutler-Bell Prize in High School Computing recognizes talented high school students in computer science. The challenge will focus on developing an artifact that engages modern computing technology and computer science. Judges will be looking for submissions that demonstrate ingenuity, complexity, relevancy, originality, and a desire to further computer science as a discipline. Up to four (4) winners will each be awarded a $10,000 prize and a trip to the ACM/CSTA Cutler-Bell Prize Reception.

UT Saturday Morning Math Group and Sunday Math Circle
[school year] SMMG meets 1 or 2 weekends a month and has UT professor or a math graduate student present problems and talk about an area of mathematics that does not come up in high school or in a college course. This semester we intend to branch out to areas of computer science, physics, and applied math.
